Seminars Now UnderwayThe long awaited seminars in BDSM theory and practice are finally getting underway. There are some very good reasons for attending the seminars:
These seminars are being held at the International Arts Center, 516 N. 5th Ave., at 7:00 PM. (The NE corner of 6th St. and 5th Ave.) The cost to attend is $5.00 for members and $8.00 for non-members. About Desert DominionWe are a local pansexual, panfetish organization and welcome everyone regardless of orientation, age (18 and above), race, creed, religion, kink, etc. We would like to invite those who are in the lifestyle, new to the scene or just curious about bdsm to come to our events, meet us, socialize with us and learn with us. We are not a dating service or sex club. We do not find partners for people. We exist to support, educate, and socialize with one another in a safe, sane, and consensual domain. Our members possess a variety of years of experience, of education in related lifestyle activities, and have widely diverse interests. New Play Space Search ContinuesWe are still looking for a place in an industrial area or the like with at least 1,000 sq. ft. and not too expensive. We should be ready to lease by the fall. If you hear of a place where we can hold our meetings and parties, please share the information with a board member. Munch InformationDesert Dominion's munch is now the first Tuesday night of the month, at the Broadway Cafe, Broadway and Columbus, at 7:00 pm. This month, that’s Tuesday, September 4th. There is no charge to attend; food and beverages are always Dutch treat. Thanks to the Broadway Cafe for providing room for our group. Please tip the wait staff generously. We want to remain welcome. If you are in the scene and lifestyle, new to the lifestyle, or just plain curious about bdsm, whether you’re gay, straight, lesbian, bi, or trans, bring a friend or just your perverted self to our munch/social gathering. We are a diverse group of people who enjoy sharing and socializing in a neutral, public setting where we can meet old friends and new friends who are interested in the lifestyle or are just plain curious. If you are nervous about attending, please understand that we always respect and honor anonymity and appropriateness. The munch is intended to be a social event of equals meeting equals. You will not find yourself being topped or bottomed without consent, nobody will be wearing bold fetish wear or enacting any play scenes. Actual play activities are only enacted in appropriate settings. You might be asked to negotiate by an interested other, but nothing more. Do only what you feel comfortable doing; agree only to what you want to agree to. Use common sense judgment, and have no fears--munch on good food, visit with interesting others, and have a good time. Party Dates Confirmed!August 25th is right at the end of this week. Call our information line for where and what time: (520) 792-6424. A note here, about the information line: When you call, please speak slowly and clearly. We cannot answer if we cannot understand or make out the number to call back. Also, please tell us the best times to call back, and how discreet we need to be when we call. The September 29th party is also confirmed. So far these are the only confirmed dates for parties. We need volunteers for Dungeon Masters, Door Wardens, and Roustabouts. If we all pitch in, it won’t take long, and no one will be in any danger of being overworked! A word here about party attendance:

Web Site Submissions!We have the website live and most of the bugs worked out. We are preparing a section for submissions (writing, you perverts, not the other kind!) of fiction and non-fiction, poetry, reviews, reports on other events. We are also now soliciting interesting links and info to include on the site. Send your suggestions to: We will be setting up a voting form on the by-laws. Please read and think about them, and get ready to give us your feedback. Check the site out often, because it will be changing almost every week! Dutch treat, this is a chance to introduce yourself to like-minded others and enjoy an evening of conversation and great food! Just a reminder: This is a social event, a group of equals meeting equals to discuss mutual topics of interest. The munch is not the right time to try out your new topping or bottoming skills, or to show off that great new outfit. That's better done in our party settings. The munch is more geared to support, making friends, and getting to know others who may well be candidates for play at a later date. We have 7 new members ! SexchatMerryl Sloane hosts this sex-positive conversational free-for-all on the second Friday evening of every month at Wingspan (6th Street and Fifth Avenue, across from the International Arts Center). The topic for the evening is set by attendees. Guaranteed to be an amusing, informative time, $5 at the door. August PartySaturday, August 25th, from 8:30 pm until the last whip sounds! (We actually need to be out by 2:00 am, so the last whip should be sounding about 1:30 am, so we can break down and remove our equipment.) The location of the party will be given out to members only. Please call our info line and leave your phone number so we can call you. Same drill as always: $10. 00/person. Bring an incredibly decadent or delicious share food for the potluck. Sodas, coffee and tea will be available for $1 a drink. A current DD membership card or a card from a reciprocal organization is absolutely required. No entrance without one.
